Hope Community Services, established in 2016 by Executive Director Jóncquil Hope, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need. Proudly serving the Mahoning Valley area in Northeast Ohio, we connect families with local resources for everyday essentials, education, and nutrition, while empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency.

The mission of Hope Community Services is to enhance the lives of youth and families by providing assistance for their success.
Ongoing Projects
Youngstown Juneteenth - Collaborating with the Youngstown Creative Collective (YCC), we create cultural events that honor Juneteenth and educate community members.
Past Projects
Baby Box Program - As a crucial part of our initiative aimed at decreasing infant mortality rates, we successfully distributed a total of 75 baby boxes to both new and expectant parents. These boxes were filled with essential items and resources that provided vital support for their newborns during those important early days.
Heart Healthy Eats for the Valley - With the support of the Ohio Commission on Minority Health, in celebration of Minority Health Month, we took the opportunity to host a series of engaging healthy cooking demonstrations. These events were designed to educate community members on the impact of diet and eating habits.
Urban Community CPR - We conducted comprehensive CPR and First Aid Certification classes to enhance community members. In addition, we actively engaged local youth by providing hands-only CPR training, ensuring they are equipped with life-saving skills.
